Information:  A research outline (in English) of 1-2 pages on your topic of choice must be submitted by email to the chair and approved before your topic is secured. First come, first serve.
Topics:
- International and/or European Financial Law
- General Corporate/Company Law - International, European, Swiss, British, American
- Please note that Professor Alexander always requires a comparative component in the theses he supervises, even if it is not the main focus of your work.
- This year the topic list is less strict, but please feel free to look at topics form previous years as well as Prof. Alexander's teaching materials for inspiration.
Target students:

* Bachelor Students - Bachelor thesis for 6 ECTS

* Master Students - Master's thesis for 12 or 18 ECTS

* PhD students for their Doktorandenkolloquium ECTS credits.

Presentation:

All participants are required to hold a 10-15 min presentation (with ppt) on the topic of their paper and answer questions. The presentation is not graded separately, it is just an oppotunity for additional questions and interaction with the Chair as well as other participants.

Your presentation can only influence your grade in a positive direction.

Credits:

Bachelor Students can get 6 credits, Master Students can get 12 or 18 credits for their Master's thesis.

PhD students can get 6 ECTS credits as one of their required colloquia.

Formalities: You can find the formalities on our chair website under "Masterarbeit". The same prerequisites apply for Bachelor students. Failure to meet these requirements will be taken into consideration negatively.

Deadline: 11 December 2017 PASSED

Please apply by sending your two-page outline of your proposed topic, including a short motivation behind choosing it and a preliminary plan of how you wish to approach it.

Please also comply with the requirements listed under "Master's thesis".

Please email your thesis in word and pdf to lst.alexander@rwi.uzh.ch by Tuesday 1 May 2018 at 23:59.

And submit two paper copies to our offices RAI-G-099 or RAI-G-097 by Wednesday 2 May 2018 before 16:00.

Notes Please note that the seminar room in the Botanical Garden might be tricky to find if you have never been there before. You have to walk through a section of the park. We advise everyone to take this into account when scheduling their arrival times. Link to UZH map: ZOD
