Welcome to Laws and More. Over the last decades, and increasingly so over the last couple of years, the Middle East has become a key player on the world stage and the region keeps evolving fast. The knowledge of the basic legal principles and current laws and regulations has become to be a pivotal element in understanding the on-going transformations in the region. In order to make these laws more accessible to a wider public, the Center for Islamic and Middle Eastern Legal Studies (CIMELS) has taken the initiative and has begun to collect and list internet-accessible sources of Middle Eastern laws and regulations and other legal materials by country. The collection, which will contain mostly materials in English, is currently under construction and will be supplemented and updated continually.
