Honorary doctorate degree awarded to Mona Zulficar

Mona Zulficar was awarded an honorary doctorate in recognition of her exemplary commitment for human rights.

As a highly qualified lawyer who has been working in various fields of action, she has exerted substantial influence on the positivization of universal human rights claims and on gender equality in Egypt, taking the cultural, religious and historical background into account.

The awarding ceremony took place on the occasion of the Dies Academicus 2010 at the University of Zurich on April 24, 2010.
